Four Seasons Nashville: Penthouse Closets, Perfected

An inside look at the custom closets we designed for multiple penthouse residences at the new Four Seasons Private Residences in Nashville.

A New Standard for Nashville Living

The Four Seasons Private Residences have quickly become one of Nashville’s most coveted addresses—defined by elevated architecture, refined interiors, and a lifestyle that blurs the line between hotel-level luxury and private home comfort. When it came time to design the closets for several of the building’s penthouse residences, our goal was clear: create storage spaces that feel just as considered and luxurious as the rest of the home.

Across multiple penthouses, we designed a full range of closets—from expansive primary his and hers dressing rooms to guest bedroom closets and even coat closets—each tailored to how the homeowner actually lives, dresses, and moves through their day.

Primary Closets: His & Hers, Elevated

Beyond layout and proportion, these primary closets integrate discreet luxury features that quietly elevate everyday routines. Across the penthouse residences, we incorporated pull-out hampers for effortless laundry management, charging drawers to keep devices hidden yet accessible, and dedicated cubbies for ties and small accessories that reward precision and order.

Automated lighting responds intuitively as you move through the space, while automated window shades frame — or gently filter — the full-height panoramic views of downtown Nashville. The result is a dressing experience that feels both technologically seamless and visually serene, allowing the sweeping city backdrop to remain a central design feature rather than a distraction.

In the primary suites, we approached his and hers closets as distinct but complementary spaces.

For hers, we focused on:

  • Generous hanging for gowns, tailoring, and everyday wear

  • Integrated drawers with jewelry and accessory inserts

  • Open shelving and display moments that make getting dressed feel curated, not cluttered

  • In one primary suite, a fully integrated vanity paired with a discreet breakfast coffee bar—transforming the closet into a true morning ritual space rather than a pass-through storage room

  • Linen storage with a pull-out folding shelf, allowing garments and household textiles to be handled with the same care as a luxury atelier

For his, priorities included:

  • Streamlined hanging for suits, shirts, and outerwear

  • Thoughtful shelving for denim, knits, and casual pieces

  • A quieter, more architectural rhythm—clean lines, balanced proportions, and easy visibility

  • Charging drawers for electronics

While each penthouse had its own footprint and layout, the throughline was consistency: intuitive organization, refined materials, and layouts that feel effortless to use.

Guest Room Closets That Don’t Feel Like Afterthoughts

In many residences, guest closets are treated as an afterthought. Not here.

At the Four Seasons penthouses, guest bedroom closets were designed to feel just as intentional as the primary spaces—scaled appropriately, but never stripped of detail. These closets balance flexibility and polish, offering:

  • Ample hanging for visiting guests

  • Integrated shelving that can flex between luggage, folded clothing, or seasonal storage

  • Clean, welcoming interiors that mirror the tone of the rest of the home

The result? Guest spaces that feel genuinely hospitable—and unmistakably high-end.

Coat Closets, Reimagined

Even the coat closets in these penthouses received careful attention. Positioned near entries and main living spaces, these closets needed to work hard while staying visually calm.

We designed them to handle:

  • Outerwear, handbags, and everyday essentials

  • Clean sightlines and easy access

  • Durable, refined finishes that hold up to daily use

These are the kinds of closets you don’t think about—because they simply work.

Designed for How You Live

What makes these Four Seasons penthouse closets special isn’t just the scale or the setting—it’s the thought behind each decision. Every hanging rod, shelf height, and drawer placement was guided by real-life use: what gets worn often, what needs visibility, and what should quietly disappear.

From expansive primary dressing rooms to discreet coat closets, each space was designed as part of a larger lifestyle—not a standalone room.

Luxury isn’t just about size or finishes—it’s about intention. These Four Seasons Nashville penthouse closets prove that when storage is designed with the same care as the rest of the home, it becomes an experience in itself.
