Double Take: His & Hers Closets, Reimagined

What happens when one sitting room becomes two dramatically different dressing spaces?

In this historic Garden District home in New Orleans, we reimagined an underused room as a pair of primary closets — one for him, one for her. But instead of creating matching spaces, we let each one speak in its own visual language.

One is moody and sculptural, with rich wood tones and tailored symmetry. The other is soft and light-filled, with original mouldings, natural textures, and thoughtful touches that reflect its owner's unique rhythm.

Together, they’re a masterclass in complementary design — separate, but in conversation. Like a couple with distinct personalities who still finish each other’s sentences.

This project is about more than just storage. It’s about style, balance, and the beauty of designing for two people — individually and together.
