MONTAUK TENNIS PAVILION

Where design meets sport in perfect rhythm.

Nestled between sea grass and sunlit courts, the Montauk Tennis Pavilion was designed to elevate the private court experience into a world of modern leisure, comfort, and quiet luxury. It’s not just a place to play—it’s a place to arrive, unwind, and connect.

A New Kind of Court Culture

Inspired by Montauk’s pared-back coastal architecture, the pavilion’s simple gabled silhouette hides a suite of luxuries within. Every material—bleached oak, soft concrete, and honed stone—was chosen to blur the line between indoor calm and outdoor energy. The result is a structure that feels at once grounded and effortlessly sophisticated.

Designed for the Game—and Beyond

Inside, the pavilion functions as a locker, lounge, and wellness space all in one. The open-air layout features a bar for post-match hydration, gear storage, and plush seating for players and spectators alike. From morning practice to sunset matches, the space is designed to flow naturally with the rhythm of the day.

Moments Between Matches

At the heart of the concept is balance—between movement and stillness, competition and calm. The dressing area offers open shelving and integrated storage, with access to a shower, sauna, and even a central putting green for a touch of play beyond the baseline.

Spa-Level Refinement

The bathroom suite extends the theme of understated indulgence with marble detailing, a dual vanity, steam-shower, and built-in laundry area—ensuring every comfort is within reach after a long set or swim.

Court-Side Viewing Lounge

Framed by sliding glass, the viewing lounge connects directly to the court, complete with a fireplace and television for spectating in all seasons. Designed for both the game and the gatherings around it, this is where the energy of the match lingers long after the final serve.

The Floorplan

A study in efficiency and elegance, the layout reveals LA Closet Design’s signature balance of function and fantasy—spaces that are as thoughtfully organized as they are indulgent. From the stringing machine and hydration station to outdoor warm-up zones, every square foot is intentional.

Bringing Organization to the Outdoors

The Montauk Tennis Pavilion reimagines sport through the lens of design—an extension of LA Closet Design’s ethos that every environment, even one centered around play, should inspire calm, order, and beauty.
