YOUR FAVORITE CLOSETS OF 2021

As 2021 comes to a close, we’re taking a look at the top 10 closets you loved from the past year! This year was a healthy mix of fun new projects, with lots of trendy inspo, as well as some staple crowd favorites we love to look to for some more classic closet inspo! No. 10

In the 10th spot, this closet in the works got lots of love this year! Whether it was the understatedly feminine palette, or the curved marble shoe wall, this rendering was a hit, and has us all anxiously awaiting the closet reveal in 2022!

No. 9

This tailored and timeless dressing room is an undeniable crowd favorite! The symmetry and proportions are so satisfying, and the subtle, gender-neutral palette means this closet can really appeal to the masses.

No. 8

An oldie but a goodie, Monique Lhuillier’s closet always seems to garner a lot of love! This shot of her swoon-worthy shoe wall has surely inspired many closet makeovers! Plus, the grey woodgrain is a nice, neutral break from the classic white closets we’re used to seeing!

No. 7

There’s definitely something to be said for this modern man cave, and I’m so glad to see a dark closet make the top 10! This space is filled with drama, from the LED backlighting to custom lighted rods, this closet really brings home the luxury boutique experience.

No. 6

A personal favorite (not that I’m biased), it’s always nice to see my closet is a crowd favorite! We created this custom “Closet Cashmere” paint color with Portola paints, and have had several clients request it since! I’m so happy to see clients taking more risks with color in their closets!

No. 5

The number 5 closet isn’t actually a closet at all! This studio we designed for celebrity stylist Monica Rose has served as inspiration for many projects since! People seem to love the grand scale of the space, and the way the design complements the industrial character of the space!

No. 4

Not to be forgotten, Monique’s closet makes the list twice this year! This shot shows off the dreamy dressing area, complete with a 3-way mirror, glitzy light fixture, and plush seating for relaxing in the space!

This classic white closet will forever be a favorite! It’s a great study in dealing with taller spaces, and creating additional storage above. With just the right amount of detail, this one seems to speak to everyone — whether you’re looking for something classic or contemporary!

We first shared this closet a couple of years ago, and people always seem to love the glass displays and staging areas throughout! This was a pretty dramatic transformation from the uninspired spare bedroom we started with, to the merchandised shopper’s haven you see here!

No. 1

Top of the list for 2021 is a new closet we designed for Beau Dunn, styled with her glamorous colorful collection, as well as personal mementos and art pieces! This one is so full of personality, and definitely worth a watch if you haven’t yet seen the full tour!
