THE CHIC SHOPPER'S CLOSET: BEFORE + AFTER

This “closet tour” isn’t a celebrity closet, but it has no shortage of luxury labels and glamorous details. Sometimes a master closet just isn’t enough when you have loads of Hermes shoes, Chanel bags and designer duds. In the case of a young, fashionable UCLA student, it most certainly wasn’t. Lucky for her, there was an additional bedroom and LA Closet Design was able to undertake the massive transformation and turn it into a dream dressing space.

It’s important to note — despite the incredible upgrade, not a single square foot was added to the space during the renovation! This just goes to show the power of good design to make a space feel more functional and beautiful. It’s hard to believe from the “Before” that there was so much valuable real estate in these closets. By designing appropriately for the space, and incorporating a whole heap of luxury features, the final design utilizes every square inch in a way that feels sophisticated and inviting!

To ensure this client’s extensive collection of classic and fashion-forward pieces popped (think Chanel blazers and embellished Gucci cross-body bags), we opted for a primarily white color pallette with some chic wallpaper lining the cabinetry.

When a client has exquisite taste in clothing she needs equally exquisite closet customizations. We brought our “A” game to this coed’s closet by adding items like lighted shoe shelves, brass hanging rods, a floating garment rack with marble platform, glass accessory displays, lucite hangers and a mirror-topped center island. The result: a boutique-like experience where she can “shop” her own wardrobe.

The finishing touch was ensuring she had a designated place for her dog’s designer outfits, all of which hang on mini pearl hangers. How pawsitively perfect is that?
