Olivia Culpo’s loft closet is always a crowd-pleaser! Maybe it’s the accessible appeal for apartment dwellers, the glam details, or her stunning accessory collection on full display… In any case, this shot with the mirrored bureau and sliding barn door made a splash on social media this year, and hopefully inspired a few before and afters!

This closet gave us all a lesson in purging! If there was ever a case to be made for paring down your collection, this detailed dressing room is it. With window-like displays for accessories, and room to relax, this high gloss white closet is the ultimate master sanctuary. No crowded rolling racks or overstuffed shelves anywhere in sight…

This whimsical walk-in just goes to show that your closet doesn’t have to be huge to make a huge impact. With its modest footprint, many of us can digest the design and compare to our own closets at home, in a much more attainable way. Equally parts function and fashion, the closet showcases the client’s on-of-a-kind collection, with bespoke pieces and a bold color palette that’s sure to inspire a few closet overhauls!

You can never underestimate the power of good styling in your closet! This shot of our 2020 closet collab for artist Beau Dunn makes us all want to take a little time to merchandise. Organizing by color and occasion is not only functional, but makes an instant impact in the look of the closet! This rainbow rack of suiting is certainly #closetgoals, and surely boosts Beau’s mood when pulling together a professional look!

Because one shoutout would never be enough for Olivia Culpo’s lofty LA closet!… This shot of the open-concept closet is exactly the extension of her living space we wanted to create, and apparently you guys approve! With open shelves for accessories in Olivia’s favorite color palette, mirrored accents, and crystal knobs, this little corner brings back Hollywood glam in a big way!

This dapper little dressing room is every man’s dream. Tailored to perfection, I argue this closet is the ideal size for a curated menswear collection! You can appreciate the symmetry in this shot, with flanking full-length mirrors that optically enlarge the space. The closet is split right down the middle, with formal suiting to one side, and more casual everyday wear on the opposite. Finished in a satin French grey, it’s a closet any guy (or girl) can appreciate!

One thing that seems clear from this countdown, is that while we all love an oversized aspirational closet, we can also appreciate the attention to detail that goes into a smaller space. It’s just as important (if not more so) to be thoughtful with the way you use your real estate in a smaller closet. Maybe it’s also easier to relate to smaller closets, since they feel familiar for so many of us. This one certainly feels familiar to me, as it’s my own everyday closet! With inlaid drawer fronts, a wallpaper ceiling, and shagreen pulls, this closet proves you don’t have to sacrifice style on a budget!

Monica Rose’s styling studio was a first-ever for LACD, taking on a working space at a scale like no other. And apparently, you guys were blown away by the sheer quantity of her collection, too! The black marble island makes this shot all the more swoon-worthy, with a glassy reflection of the full height shoe wall!

My own pride and joy, I was so happy with the response to my dressing room this year! It’s so hard to design for yourself, and I wanted to do something different. This pic highlights all my favorite elements of the dressing room — the brass accents, the bronze mirror details, the inlay, and of course my custom paint color, Closet Cashmere! I think the shoe wall is a staple in any dressing room, and I’m so glad people were inspired by my dreamy little blush-pink corner of the world!

If there’s any takeaway from the top 3 closets of 2020, it’s that we LOVE a good shoe wall! This one is one of our all-time favorites, and it’s nice to see that in a year of so much uncertainty, some things never change! Styled with boot trees, Tiffany-blue boxes, and a bright bouquet of flowers, it’s a timeless design that blends form and function. This classic white dream closet is a great way to round out any recap!

Also in the vein of 2020 favorites, you guys again voted the Kardashian-Jenners your favorite video content!
